ACCELERATED CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

The Accelerated Christian Education curriculum provides a program of learning for preschool through to secondary and there are also some courses at a tertiary level. The curriculum uses Packets of Accelerated Christian Education which are known as PACES.  The student learns to set and achieve their own goals in study by using the PACES along with their corresponding score keys, thereby making the parent a supervisor or monitor rather than a teacher.  In other words, students take responsibility for their own learning. The score keys contain the answers as well as how to obtain those answers and when the child does their own scoring it reinforces the learning. There are also video tapes as well as advanced computer technology that may be purchased to supplement learning.

The core curriculum includes the six basic academic courses of Math, English, Literature and Creative Writing, Social Studies, Science and Word Building.  Students may need to fill in gaps in their learning if they are not beginning at a young age; however, each child may work at their own pace.  With A.C.E. children learn to master a point before moving onto the next level.  This means that students will score higher on overall achievement tests.  There are 12 PACES per subject at each level and the student may complete 3 PACES per term in each subject.  In the A.C.E. curriculum God is incorporated into every aspect of learning and this builds the child’s character while providing a high level of academic learning.

The A.C.E. curriculum is built upon these five basic laws of learning:

  • Students must be a level where they can perform
  • Reasonable goals must be set.
  • Students must be controlled and motivated.
  • Learning must be measurable
  • Learning must be rewarded.

When the system is followed correctly, the results are encouraging to all, both in building good character and in academic achievements.

It is recommended that you contact a provider for further details.  A provider will give you an accountability system issuing professional term reports and keeping ongoing records.  You will also receive a substantial discount on all curriculum materials.  Materials may however,  be purchased separately at a higher cost.  A.C.E. curriculum is both an excellent tool for learning as well as an integrated system that will expose character flaws early in life which will help you to build good Christian character from an early age.
